The First Annual Wellspring Wallopalooza golf marathon will take place at Woodhaven Country Club on October 17, 2011. If spending some time out playing golf while raising $$$ for a great cause sounds like a dream come true, then this is the event for you!
You can play all day, or we can show you how to play your 100 holes in 2 hours or less! What's important is the FUN in this FUNdraising event! You can even choose your start time.

7:00 - 8:00 a.m. - Registration, Welcome, Breakfast, and Instructions for Play
8:15 a.m. - Shotgun Start!

What am I Raising Money For?
We are all seeing the increased evidence of the impact the ongoing economic climate is having on our community. The good news is that Wellspring is here to offer effective programs that are bringing recovery to adults with mental illnesses in our community. Wellspring offers an array of options, from crisis stablization programming to independent living to meet clients' needs and preferences. In this, Wellspring's 30th year of service, we point with pride to the strides we've made over three decades and the thousands of lives we've helped make better over those years. Wellspring's Wallopalooza will help to assure that these services stay in place for those who need them most.
Does It Cost To Play?
No! Wellspring will provide the golf balls, cover the greens and golf cart fees, and provide meals and beverages throughout the day. But to make this a successful FUNdraising event, we are asking each player to commit to trying their best to raise $1,000 in sponsorships. The way you do that is by getting flat donations from people or businesses, or by getting donors to sponsor you for an agreed upon amount for each hole of golf you play. Players can also sponsor themselves at a set amount per hole as part of their goal. Self-sponsorship helps in two ways: it helps to cement your commitment to the event and it gives extra credibility in asking people to become donors.
What About Prizes?
There will be lots of prizes! Serious prizes, fun prizes. Top fundraisers will have the best shots at the top prizes, so start strategizing on how to beat out all the others now!
Who Will I Golf With and When Will I Play?
When you register to play, you can tell us what time best suits you. And if there's another golfer you'd like to share a cart with, just let us know and we'll do our best to match you up.
