    Ardery House
    Ardery House
    Ardery House opened in 1982 in Old Louisville as Wellspring’s first site. The goal of Ardery House is to equip persons who are leaving the hospital and/or experiencing homelessness to achieve independent living. All clients are diagnosed with mental illness and almost half have co-occurring substance abuse.

    Thirteen men and women are provided with room, board, life skills training, recreational activities, case management and individual and group therapy. Residents have an eleven-month average stay.

  • Broadway House
    Broadway
    Broadway House opened in 1986 and is located in the Phoenix Hill neighborhood. It is home to eight men who live in a congregate environment. It is a supported housing program for individuals with extensive histories of psychiatric hospitalization.

  • Concord Apartments

    As a supported housing program, the Concord Apartments enable persons who have extensive histories of psychiatric hospitalizations to live successfully in the community. It provides housing for eight women in four two-bedroom apartments.

  • Crescent House
    crescent houseCrescent House, founded in 2003, is staff supported housing in a large, single-family house for three men having extensive hospitalization histories. There is no limit on the length of time a resident may live here.

  • David J. Block Center Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU)
    DJB CSU
    The Block Center CSU, founded in 2007, serves persons who are in an acute phase of their mental illness and experiencing severe depression, mania or symptoms of psychosis. At the CSU individuals receive intensive treatment, close monitoring and high levels of staff support. The Block Center and the Wellspring Gaines Center, which opened in 1995, each house up to eight men and women in a homelike setting in the downtown area.

  • Frank M. Gaines Center Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU)
    CSU
    The Gaines Center CSU, like the Block Center CSU above, serves persons who are in an acute phase of their mental illness and experiencing severe depression, mania or symptoms of psychosis. While at the CSU individuals receive intensive treatment, close monitoring and high levels of staff support. The Gaines Center can serve up to eight clients at one time and is located in downtown Louisville.

  • Journey House
    Journey HouseIn December 1998, Wellspring opened Journey House as an attempt to better address the needs of Louisville’s dually diagnosed, homeless women who were falling through the cracks of a service system not set up to treat their illnesses simultaneously. Journey House is the first residential program in Kentucky specifically designed to serve this population. Up to eight women at one time are provided with room, board, life skills training, recreational activities, case management and individual and group therapy. Residents have an eleven-month average stay.
